Gilly's Retreat provides a lakefront destination with all you need to create amazing lake memories. This updated home offers two levels of outdoor deck / patio seating along with a firepit and wonderful grass areas. Enjoy the comfortable rooms and two living areas indoors, while spending most of your days on the water.

The dock is a perfect landing space with a swim mat, 2 kayaks, lounge chairs, swim ladder and deep water year round. The cove is calm water providing a safe place for swimming and water sports. Just outside the cove you are minutes away from Bear Bottom Resort and several other lakefront stops.

The driveway and parking allow for boat trailers to be kept on site with a boat ramp less than 10 minutes from the home. Location in Sunrise Beach provides the quiet of the West Side with the bridge to the east side nearby. Our LakeDays by Design program will get you headed in the right direction with personalized recommendations and activities.

A perfect quiet retreat to get away from the chaos of everyday life. Close enough to town for necessities but far enough away to relax and kick back.

Location Description:
Located in Sunrise Beach, the home is less than 3 hours from Kansas City and St. Louis. and a half day drive from Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Illinois. Regional airports are located in Springfield and Columbia with an international airport in Kansas City.

Getting There:
Details on accessing the home will be provided in your guidebook available after booking. There are blacktop roads the majority of the stay with less than one mile on gravel roads to access the home.

Excellent Deep Water Cove Location

"We had an excellent time staying here and the location is just about perfect for our family. At the 38mm, you have plenty of restaurants only minutes away by water in the lower mile markers, and still have lots of calmer water in the other direction. The house itself was very clean, the dock was huge and perfect for entertaining our family and storing our boat we brought with us. The house also had on site boat trailer parking which was very helpful since we towed our boat there for the weekend.

"This property was a perfect location for our family vacation to the Ozarks. The house had plenty of space and we were pleasantly surprised with all of the cabinet space in the kitchen. The dock was perfect and we enjoyed the lilly pad and lounge chairs. We look forward to booking this location again!

"The dock and deck were the best part of our stay. Large deck and dock with a slide, (very wobbly) plenty of chairs and seating. The kayaks were in good shape and the everyone enjoyed the swim pad. Please note there are cameras around the outside of the property. The kitchen was a little small for 10 people moving around but well stocked. King size mattresses were good but the queen one you sunk in the middle. Bunk beds were the metal rickety kind but will hold kids. Overall a very nice property!

"We had a large group and all enjoyed the house. Everyone had their own space when needed and we all thoroughly enjoyed the large boat dock for our boats. The house was nicely decorated and clean. The kitchen had everything we could have asked for. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows and blankets for our large group. The outdoor areas were all set up nicely and we really enjoyed the firepit. We also were all able to park at the residence with the boat trailers which is hard to find. Check-in and check-out were both easy and the communication was fantastic. We have zero complaints and all said we would absolutely come back to this property.

Great Peaceful Cove

"This property was easy to get to and we loved how it was tucked back into the cove so it was very low key. The house overall was perfect for what we were looking for and the dock was even better. It is very hard finding docks with large boat slips but this one was perfect. The only complaint we found was that the grill, which we use a lot was very dirty and small for a place that can sleep up to 10 people. Overall great place.

"My family has been doing an annual trip to Lake of the Ozarks for many years. This year was by far the best a big reason for that is the great Lakehouse and what it had to offer it was spacious, well stocked, and the communication Between myself and the proprietors was spot on. We especially enjoyed the dock because my family loves to fish. In addition to that, the outside areas both upstairs and downstairs were utilized for many things. We definitely will be back!

"Great little guidebook with lots of info on things around us. Had a blast on the dock, fishing, swimming, kayaking and bonus a slide!!! House was clean, lots of room, nice gas stove/oven. Great that we didn’t need to pack toiletries laundry detergent or cleaning supplies. Highly recommend!

"We stayed 4 nights at Gilly's Retreat. We booked through VRBO which was easy and straightforward. We did attempt communication with Pamela prior to our stay initially with no response, we found out later after reaching out through VRBO that the emails had gone to spam (which when you run a business that should be checked regularly, in my opinion). It wasn't a huge deal, just caused some concern up front. The house itself was well appointed and very clean. They provided so many extra amenities which were so appreciated - lake towels, toiletries & household goods, coffee and spices. The rooms were good sized, and the bunk/trundle bed in the lower level was great for my three teenagers. Be aware that the stairs to the lower level are quite steep, so if you have mobility issues that could be a concern. The dock had many floatation items, kayaks, a lake mat and plenty of chairs for enjoying the lake. The house is located in a quiet cove, making the stay that much more pleasant. Overall we had a great stay at Gilly's Retreat celebrating my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. It was a trip we will never forget!

"We've been staying down at the lake for over 25+ years and this was one of the nicest places we have been at. We had 10 guests and there was plenty of room. Great house, plenty of room, nice dock, nice quiet cove. Plenty of room for parking. All in all a great place!

"Some friends and I stayed here during the third week in September, and it was a great experience. The house was clean and well furnished. The upper deck was in good shape and the view of the cove was awesome. The lower level walkout was convenient. The fire place and side yard were an added bonus. We spent a good deal of time on the dock itself and in the lake. It was a great place to float and relax in the lake- which was still about 80 degrees. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend it if you are looking for a good place at the lake.
