Choosing the Right Life Jacket Sizes
A life vest should fit comfortably and allow arm movements. Life vests come in adult, youth, child and infant sizes. Keep these factors in mind when making your selection:
- Choose a life vest based on chest size for adults and weight for children.
- Loosen all straps, put it on, and secure closure.
- Tighten all straps, starting with the waist belt, and work your way up to the shoulder straps.
- Pull vest up from shoulder straps. If the life vest pulls up around the wearer’s head, the vest is too big.
- Try some arm movements to ensure full range of motion so that no binding or chafing occurs.

Life Jacket & Life Vest Rental Policy
Life jackets are available for rent at LakeDays Rentals during your stay at the lake. Please note the following policy regarding our life jacket rentals:
- Rental Process: Guests and visitors can rent life jackets from the LakeDays office during their stay or visit. Proper identification may be required for visitors not staying at a LakeDays Rentals property.
- Acquiring Life Jackets: You may choose to pick up your life jackets at the LakeDays Rentals main office, at 208 N. Main St. in Laurie, MO, or have them delivered to your location for $60. Delivery fees are non-refundable, and will arrive between 1-2 business days. Please add notes into your order if you need them delivered sooner.
- Return Policy for Guests: Guests staying at a LakeDays Rentals property are required to return their rented life jackets to the LakeDays office upon checkout.
- Return Policy for Visitors: Visitors renting life jackets who are not staying at a LakeDays property are also required to return the rented life jackets to the LakeDays office within 24 hours of the end of their trip.
- Late Return Penalty: If a rented life jacket is not returned within 24 hours of the end of the trip or checkout time, the renter will be charged the full cost of the life vest that was rented.
